Monrovia -Scores of Liberians in and across Liberia are calling on the President Joseph Boakai to immediately increase the presence of well armed officers to borders across the country.
They said since the Liberia -Guinea crisis, The Guineans government have already deployed a large military presence to the borders something that has sparked wide outrageous and fear amongst citizens.
According to them, the presence of the Liberia Armed Forces to various borders will bring relief and protection to its people and the territory.
While diplomatic engagement continues between both nations, Liberian urged the Unity Party administration to establish a significant security presence and elevate the country’s alert level.
”This is not the time for passivity; you must act swiftly. We seek peace and calm, but you must also demonstrate resilience to the Guineans. Cease unnecessary spending and recast the military budget without delay.” A Liberian lady noted.
At the same time, citizens are calling on President Boakai to prioritize the security of the state as well as initiating discussions with the Sierra Leonean government and arrange joint military exercises, as they are also under threat from the Guineans
