โ– CSA Boss Boast of Gov’t Impact on Public Workers
Bong -โโโโโLiberiaโs Civil Service Agency (CSA) Director-General, Dr. Josiah F. Joekai, has dismissed claims that some civil servants earn below US$150.
โโDr. Josiah Joekai said the governmentโs salary standardization policy is fully enforced across all ministries and agencies within the republic.โโ
He made the clarification during a one-day visit on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 to the Bong County Technical College (BCTC).โโ
The CSA Director highlighted the governmentโs progress in improving civil servant welfare, noting that essential workers in education, health and security have received significant salary adjustments. โโ
Dr. Joekai cited the regularisation of 829 volunteer health workers and 1,306 volunteer teachers as a major milestone supported by new financial allotments adding that these measures, he said, form part of President Joseph Boakaiโs broader push for stronger collaboration among public institutions.โโ
Amid public concerns raised by social justice advocate Martin K. N. P. Kollie, the CSA boss reiterated that any payroll reflecting wages below US$150 is not part of the official civil service system, adding that illegal supplementary payrolls have been shut down.โโ
He clarified that only consultancy payrolls legally operate outside the centralized system.
