-Calls Mount For Police IG Coleman, Others To Give Way To Multi-Million Drug Trafficking Investigation

Calls are mounting for Police Inspector General, Gregory O W Coleman and top ranking officials of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency to be dismissed or respectfully resign and give way to investigation.
Those who are calling for their resignation or dismissal have different views for which they want them out of the way of the multi-million dollar drug trafficking investigation.
One of those who are calling for the dismissal of Coleman is expelled Montserrado District 10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah.
He said on the Spoon FM night time show, “Gregory needs to go, Gregory needs to be investigated, Gregory Knows the cartel and he has been with the cartel. Johnny, Wadell, Anthony and others will not be the Jesus for Gregory.”
One of the reasons that Kolubah wants him out is that the 10 thousand for which Dean was dismissed for, out of that money, Coleman received 2,000 allegedly.
The expelled lawmaker told the Spoon platform that, “Edison’s girlfriend Fefe who gave the $10 thousand so they can release her boyfriend went straight to Gregory and he was the one that instructed her to go to Johnny for them to discuss and the discussion even started from $20 thousand before finally agreeing to the $10thousand” he said.
The controversial former lawmaker added, “Gregory is not trusted and he needs to step aside to be investigated by independent investigators.”
Foday N. Massaquoi, National Chairman of the CDC-COP account is similar to that of the expelled lawmaker.
“Johnny Dean, the disgraced 106 of the Police and close associate of IG Coleman is also accusing that he gave the alleged $10,000 bribe for comfort to his boss and then in return gave him $2,000” Massaquio said nearly as Kolubah has earlier said.
He indicated that, under Liberian law, a person can be guilty by association stating that drug trafficking and narco- terrorism is a very serious offense and international crime as such for the Inspector General of Police, Gregory Coleman to be implicated from several compromised and drugs affiliated top officers of the LNP and many of whom he appointed to serve at his will and pleasure is a ground for negligence and possible criminal facilitation.
“It’s fair for Gregory Coleman to step aside and submit himself to international independent investigation in this cocaine case” he added.
He added that any delay and inability of President Boakai to take decisive action shows that the Boakai-Koung Administration is protecting the transnational drugs cartel.
Not only Kolubah and Massaquio want the Police IGP out, but other opposition politicians and ordinary citizens of Liberia are also making these calls on radios and social media platforms.
Abdulkadi Sesay in his open appeal called on President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr, to consider directing LNP Coleman, the Deputy Inspector General for Operations (102), Nelson Freeman, and the Officer-in-Charge of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) to temporarily step aside from the ongoing investigations into the reported US$19 million and US$317 million drug-related cases.
“It’s important for the sanity of the investigation and for the future of Liberia” Sesay said.
He wants President Boakai to establish an independent investigation team to work along with the National Security Agency (NSA) and International partners.
“I have every right to request or demand this action, Mr. President, the story told by the IGP Gregory O W Coleman regarding the dismissed 106 doesn’t make any sense” he said.
As for former Montserrado County District 8 lawmaker, Moses Acarous Gray, he said the police IG knows that Dean and others are criminals, but brought them back to the police force and as such he needs to be dismissed immediately for compromising the force due to personal interest.
Giving a history, he said in 2015 Johnny Bola Dean was R-4 in the crime services Division (CSD), he was accused of being involved in the commission of an armed robbery at the residence of businessman Sam Gibson in 2015.
“The armed robbery suspects disclosed that yes indeed Johnny was a part of the commission of the crime which was evidenced by the fact that anytime they are sharing their criminal proceeds from armed robberies it is done in Johnny’s vehicle” Gray said. Gray said Johnny Dean was dismissed, later brought back through the influence of IG Coleman when he took over as lG in 2016 but when Patrick took over as IG in 2018, he banned Johnny Bola Dean from associating with the LNP.
“This was how Gregory Coleman assisted Johnny Dean to obtain employment at Liberia Agriculture Company (LAC) in Buchanan” he said.
Gray said upon IG Coleman returning as IG under this UP government, IG Coleman brought Dean back and elevated him as Deputy Commissioner for CSD.
A report gathered by The Local Daily has it that Dean is the operational person for the IG of Police thus referring to him as the Joseph of LNP Pharaoh(IG Coleman).
Since Coleman announced that Dean has been relieved of his duties, multiple reports have emerged that the two are inseparable as their deals are nearly the same.
Images of the two have flooded social media as the calls double for the IG dismissal.
