‎‎Gbarnga -The Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) Bong County Chapter has concluded a day-long celebration of World Volunteer Day in Gbarnga. ‎‎

The celebration, which brought together volunteers and stakeholders, aimed to recognize and appreciate the contributions of volunteers to the LNRCS Bong County Chapter.

‎‎The event provided an opportunity for volunteers to share their experiences and reaffirm their commitment to serving their communities.‎‎

Speaking during the event, J. Edwin Kerkula, a permanent volunteer at the Bong County Red Cross Society, emphasized that volunteerism is a commitment to service.

‎‎Reflecting on the primary purpose and principles of the LNRCS, Kerkula noted that volunteerism play a vital role in the organization operations.

‎‎He cautioned volunteers against being inactive, stressing that they are the backbone of the chapter encouraging them to continue upholding the values of the Red Cross, including humanity.

‎‎According to Kerkula by celebrating World Volunteer Day, the LNRCS Bong County Chapter seeks to promote volunteerism and inspire others to join the organization in its humanitarian work in Bong County.‎‎

Meanwhile Daniel Dorbor field officers of the Liberia National Red Cross Society Bong County Chapter made a resounding call to volunteers to remain committed, respectful in their volunteering paths expressing that volunteers are essential in the society. ‎‎

Dorbor further disclosed that the volunteers should be active at Red Cross Bong County Chapter as more effective communities depend on the Red Cross for timely response.

‎‎Francis Tokpah, a community member commended LNRCS and partners for the immense contribution towards affected Communities in Post-war Liberia.
