Paris, France- Mayor Robert S. Bestman II has been celebrated and honored at a distinguished ceremony organized by the Liberian Mandingo Federation in Europe.
Mayor Bestman was honored for his outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment to community service, and passionate dedication to youth empowerment in Liberia.
The event, held in Paris, brought together prominent Liberians residing across Europe, representing various professional backgrounds within the Mandingo community.
Mayor Bestman’s leadership qualities and impactful initiatives at home have garnered respect and admiration from his constituents and community members abroad.
Accompanying the mayor was Shiek Yaya Jalloh, Chair of the Paynesville City Council, who expressed support and pride in Mayor Bestman’s accomplishments.
Council Chair Jalloh told the gathering how Mayor Bestman is uniting residents of Paynesville, regardless of religious and political affiliations.
He recounted Mayor Bestman’s gestures to the Muslim community, including providing assorted food items and a cow during Ramadan, as well as hosting an elaborate dinner in honor of the Muslim community of Paynesville at the end of Ramadan.
The gathering highlighted the strong bond between Liberians in the diaspora and their homeland, emphasizing ongoing efforts toward development, unity, and youth empowerment.
In his acceptance speech, Mayor Bestman thanked the Liberian Mandingo Federation in Europe for the honor and reiterated his commitment to fostering growth and positive change in Liberia.
