Paynesville- The President of the International Basketball Federation Africa Zone 3 Retired Col. Sam Ahmedu, is currently in Liberia for the Elite Basketball Camp.
Retired Col. Sam Ahmedu aims to refine young athletes skills, with focus on Youth Development and Coaching Skills as well as advancing local coaching talent through modern basketball techniques.
According to him, 100 participants (60 boys and 40 girls) aged 14 to 18 are expected to benefit from this training.It is the sixth Jordan Nwora Foundation Elite Basketball Camp in Liberia, marking its second consecutive year.
Scheduled to take place from May 8th to May 11th, the FIBA Africa Zone 3 President stressed that the four-day training seeks to identify future basketball stars from Liberia.
The veteran basketball superstar noted that following the intense training, participants will gain essential life changing opportunities for U.S. scholarships.
