Bong County Gender Coordinator Madam Musu Mulbah has urged residents of Payeta to Champion Peace and Gender Equality in the county.

Speaking at a program marking the inaugural Home-coming of the Payeta Citizen’s Association in Zota District, Madam Mulbah said if peace and gender equality is champion, it build an everlasting moment in history.

The program attended by sons and daughters of Payeta was intended to bring together residents of the town under one ambella to find amicable solutions to some existing problems and developmental deficits that have engulfed the town over the years. ‎

High on the agenda was how residents of the area can collectively coincide functions to build the town’s Youth center and to electrify the entire community.

A project is estimated at over $46,000.00 United States Dollars.‎‎

Madam Mulbah emphasized the importance of upholding positive morals and preventing actions that can lead to gender-based violence within the community, and proxy on behalf of Bong County Senator Prince K. Moye Sir.

‎‎The Bong County Gender Coordinator promised to deliver matters relating to the projects and the people’s concerns to Senator Moye, a man according to her is a listening and workaholic Leader.‎‎

According to her, Senator Moye as a developer and kind-hearted Individual will be excited to receive the development agendas of Payeta, a town that lies within his territory.‎‎

In her capacity as Gender Coordinator of Bong County, Madam Mulbah vowed to play an intermediator role between Payeta’s residents and stakeholders within Bong County.‎‎

On the issue of Gender, the Coordinator however urged residents of the area to prioritize peace and unity, while actively working to avoid conflicts that can escalate into violent situations.

‎‎According to her, the main function of the Ministry of Gender is to protect the rights of all genders, with a special focus on Children, women and girls who are often targeted by acts of violence, thus calling on all Residents to join forces in promoting development and positive values. ‎‎

As today marks an inaugural Home-coming program of the Payeta Citizen’s Association in Zota District, the Bong County’s Gender Coordinator joined other speakers to encourage residents of the area to embrace growth and progress, at the same time cultivate a mindset that fosters innovation and transformation within the region.
