Buchanan, Grand Bassa -Grand Bassa County Police Detachment has received three brand new traffic motorcycles from the national headquarters of the Liberia National Police (LNP).
Accordingly, the three traffic motorcycles is aimed at enhancing law enforcement capabilities across the County.
The motorcycles were presented to County Superintendent Karyou Johnson by LNP’s Regional Commander, DCP Joshua During, for onward presentation to the Police.
Superintendent Johnson lauded President Joseph Boakai and Inspector General Gregory Coleman for their collaboration with the Chinese government in securing these vital resources for the police force.
He emphasized that the introduction of these motorcycles marks a major step towards decentralizing the security sector in the County and the Country at large.
During the handover ceremony, Superintendent Johnson urged the County Police Detachment to utilize the motorcycles solely for their intended purpose of law enforcement.
He also called on the media and community members to help monitor the use of the bikes, ensuring they serve the community effectively.
Upon receiving the keys to the bikes, Grand Bassa Police Detachment Commander Fasu Sheriff thanked the LNP leadership and the Boakai administration for their support.
He assured the community that the motorcycles would be used responsibly to enhance policing efforts and improve public safety.
