—- Says Liberations & Reform Are Key To Ordinary Citizens

By Staff Writer

Monrovia -Montserrado County District #10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah, has announced plans to declare his intention to contest in Liberia’s 2029 Presidential and Legislative Elections.

‎Speaking Thursday, April 9, 2026, on the OK Morning Rush talk show, Representative Kolubah revealed that his decision to seek the presidency is driven by what he described as the need to “liberate the Liberian people from bad leadership and deception.”‎

The outspoken lawmaker criticized the administration of President Joseph Boakai, alleging that promises made to Liberians during the 2023 presidential campaign have not been fulfilled.‎

According to Representative Kolubah, his earlier support for the Unity Party during the 2023 elections was based on commitments to reform governance and improve national leadership, particularly in opposition to former President George Weah and the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).‎

Kolubah clarified that his political stance was never personal against former President Weah but rather focused on changing what he termed a flawed system of governance.‎

“The Liberian people believe in my leadership because I have remained consistent in speaking for them,” he stated during the interview.‎

The District #10 Representative further declared that he is prepared to challenge President Boakai should the incumbent seek re-election in 2029.‎

“If President Boakai contests in 2029, I will defeat him. Liberia currently lacks a strong opposition, and the opposition must stand up,” Kolubah asserted.‎He emphasized his commitment to continue advocating for ordinary Liberians despite what he described as political intimidation, stressing that he has not been influenced by either the CDC or members of the Unity Party.‎Representative Kolubah concluded by reaffirming his determination to remain independent in his political advocacy while positioning himself as an alternative voice ahead of the 2029 elections.
