‎By Mark N. Mengonfia ‎‎

James K. Mulbah, Manager at the Roberts International Airport has officially joined the ruling Unity Party (UP) and says he joined after seeing progress by the Joseph Nyumah Boakai led administration.‎

Mr. Mulbah joined on Saturday at the UP Homecoming ceremony in Congo Town during a fund raising rally at the party Headquarters.

‎James said it was his first time joining a party since knowing himself as a person.‎

He said,“Today is a historical day. We are between two walls, the wall of progression and the wall of retrogression.”‎

According to him, he decided to sign up for progression based on what he has seen since  President Boakai became leader of the country.

‎Mr. Mulbah has been into the private sector for years until he was recently appointed by President Boakai to manage the Roberts International Airport( RIA).‎

In his private space, he has closely followed President Boakai and had close connections with him.

‎James and his associates in 2016 established the Boakai Empowerment Network which supported the president’s agenda since its foundation and it has created opportunities for Liberians through entrepreneurship, youth development and community engagements.‎

When he was asked if he was coerced to join the ruling establishment, the RIA boss said he was not in any way forced but out of his own volition, he has joined with friends who believe in his leadership abilities.‎

The newly joined partisan said we will play an active role in the party and not be a backbencher in the party.

‎Saturday witnessed the crossing over of politicians from other political parties to the UP.‎

Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah was also seen amongst those who went to give their support of the building of the UP headquarters.‎‎‎
