‎— Gender Bong Coordinator Cries Out

‎By: Emmanuel Kerkulah ‎‎

Gbarnga -Bong County Gender Coordinator, Madam Musu Mulbah has alarmed over massive neglects confronting her office as Gender Coordinator of the county. ‎‎

In an interview with reporters recently in Gbarnga, Madam Mulbah revealed that her office has been abandoned by the ministry of  Gender, Stakeholders, and the leadership of Bong County.‎‎

“Since my appointment in 2024, my staffs and I have not received any supplies, nor an operational budget to effectively discharge our functions, something that is hindering the ability to effectively carry out our duties in the county.‎‎” She noted

The Bong County Gender Coordinator lamented that the over five staffers in her office, only two of her staff members are currently employed by the government, leaving the rest, including herself without any compensation or placement on the government payment.

Meanwhile, volunteers assigned at the institution have tenured resignation due to the lack of support and redundancy within the institution.‎‎

Currently, the Gender sub-branch in Bong lies in state and death-dragging, hit by severe redundancy, and a lack of office equipment while battling other internal neglects.‎‎

However, the Bong’s Gender Coordinator is urging the Liberian government to provide financial assistance to complete the institution’s unfinished office in Gbarnga, supply them with necessary equipment, and ensure that all staff members are employed on the government payroll.
