‎The Liberia Football Association (LFA) continues to accelerate its vision to develop football across all levels, thanks to FIFA for its continued support and ongoing efforts to make football truly global.‎‎

Following the completion of the recent CAF Coach Educators workshop, the LFA on Monday, 1 December commenced the FIFA Elite Youth Goalkeeper Coaches’ Workshop at its headquarters.

‎‎A total of 22 goalkeeper coaches are participating in the five-day course that will run from 1-5 December and is being facilitated by FIFA experts Alejandro Heredia and Cameron Cox.‎‎

The workshop is a series of specialized training programs organized by FIFA in collaboration with Member Associations to enhance the skills of youth goalkeeper coaches.

It focuses on modern training methods, technical and tactical skills, and the specific demands of the modern goalkeeper position.

‎‎It also aims to build capacity in local coaching, improve player development, and promote knowledge sharing. ‎‎

“Today we’ve gathered most of you, coaches of clubs, and national teams, to share knowledge. Taking key points, build on the expertise that you currently have to further develop yourselves, and also transfer knowledge to young Liberian goalkeepers—those who have interest to develop or participate in matches as goalkeepers. The onus is upon you, given all of these opportunities that we continue to provide from the LFA,” Raji said.‎‎

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, LFA President Mustapha I. Raji emphasized the importance of goalkeeping education and encouraged coaches to mentor young goalkeepers.‎‎

The LFA Boss noted that his leadership vowed to maintaining and keeping the promises made with emphasis in football development, capacity building, is going to be a Key evidenced by the many trainings in the area of coaching, administration, referee, sports medicine, etc.

Raji challenges the trainee to see the education as a difference in their coaching career beginning 2026.
