-Encourages Parents to Support Young Ballers’ Development

The Elite Sports Academy is preparing to host a four-week summer soccer camp aimed at developing the skills of players ages 6 to 16.

The camp is scheduled to run from July 7 to July 30. Organizers are finalizing arrangements with an African Methodist Episcopal Church, which is expected to provide indoor facilities for camp-related activities. Soccer training sessions will take place at Invincible Park or another designated field, depending on convenience, according to the academy’s administrator, Baccus B. Siawelee.

Registration costs range from 80USD to 100 USD for the full four-week program. The fee includes a camp T-shirt, photo package, awards, certificates and a parent appreciation.

“Parents may register their children by completing the camp’s online registration form using the QR code on the flyer or by contacting the camp’s coordinator directly on 07780 88989 or 05551 96287, Siawelee said. He added, “Sibling and early-registration discounts may apply,”

The camp is designed to build confidence and create a positive environment for young athletes. Activities will include professional coaching, fun competitions and character-building sessions.

Participants will be divided into three age groups: 6-9, 10-12 and 13-16. Players will receive instruction in dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, speed and agility, teamwork and game intelligence, among other important soccer skills.

Teen participants also will compete in several challenges, including the World Cup Tournament, King of the Ring, Crossbar Challenge, Capture the Cones, Penalty Shootout Ladder and Knockout Shooting Games.

“Although the church is not providing scholarships or a playing field, it will support the camp through volunteer assistance, promotional effort, helping with indoor facilities, providing character and values sessions and parents engagement activities” the academy’s administrator added.
Organizers said the partnership will strengthen community involvement and help create a positive environment for participating families.

Mr. Siawelee added that to ensure participants safety, the camp will provide first-aid services on site, attendance tracking, regular hydration breaks, safe-play guidelines and trained coaches and volunteers.
