Montserrado-The Leo Mulbah Foundation has donated a package of football equipment to Montserrado County District #1 as the district prepares for the upcoming District League Competition.
The donation, presented over the weekend, includes two sets of jerseys, 32 pairs of football boots, and two footballs.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Foundation, Executive Director S. Emmanuel Dolo said the gesture reflects the organization’s long-standing commitment to youth development through sports and empowerment programs.
“Sports has the power to shape young people in ways that go far beyond the field,” Dolo said, noting that structured athletic competition helps instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership among youth.
He added that the Foundation’s support for District #1 is part of a broader effort to create positive engagement opportunities for young Liberians.
Beyond sports, Dolo said the Leo Mulbah Foundation also runs initiatives in agriculture, disability inclusion, and vocational skills training aimed at expanding opportunities for young people across various sectors.
District head for the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Amos Blacktom, received the sports items on behalf of the district team.
He and other officials described the donation as timely and welcoming just ahead of the competition, noting that the new jerseys, boots, and footballs would not only meet an immediate equipment need but also boost team morale as players prepare for the task ahead.
The District League Competition is expected to draw teams from across Montserrado County, with District #1 now better equipped to field a strong squad following the Foundation’s contribution.
Officials used the presentation to thank the Leo Mulbah Foundation for its continued investment in the district’s youth and sports development, expressing hope that the partnership will extend beyond the current tournament.
