‎-Live Video Raises Questions as LDEA Searches Bucky Raw’s Home‎

‎By Mark N. Mengonfia

‎Hip-hop rapper Karwoudou Cole, commonly known as Bucky Raw, will likely face the law for his reported involvement in the sale of illicit drugs.

‎The home of the musician was visited early Friday morning by officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA).‎

When the officers entered his Du-Port Road premises, the musician and a few individuals with him were heard using profanity in both English and the Gio (Dahn) languages.‎

A few minutes later, the officers made their way into his home and began a search.‎In a live video, the musician was seen untying black plastic bags containing money.

‎Inside another bag, a substance that appeared to be marijuana was displayed.

‎The musician and those found in his home will have to respond to inquiries from the LDEA.‎Bucky Raw was deported from the United States in April 2018 for acts that were not in conformity with U.S. laws.‎

Since his return, he has remained active in his music career.‎

He was among those who led public demonstrations when Liberians took to the streets to protest against drugs.‎

What remains unclear is what could become of a man already battling the consequences of deportation should he face jail time.

‎This is a developing story. More details will be provided.
