Tangier, Morocco -President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., was yesterday honored with the esteemed Grand Prix Award at the 17th edition of the MEDays Forum held in Tangier, Morocco.โ€Žโ€Ž

The award, one of the Forumโ€™s highest distinctions, recognized President Boakaiโ€™s leadership, visionary governance, and his advocacy for Africaโ€™s advancement in global affairs. โ€Žโ€Ž

Presented under the auspices of the Amadeus Institute, the Grand Prix celebrates individuals whose contributions significantly shape political stability, development, and cooperation within the Global South.โ€Žโ€Ž

During the ceremony at the Palais des Arts et de la Culture, organizers commended President Boakai for championing democratic values, regional collaboration, and sustainable development, as well as for his efforts to position Africa as a key contributor in global decision-making.

โ€œThis award highlights the importance of Africaโ€™s voice in reimagining the global order. Liberia stands ready to work with partners in shaping a future that is fair, peaceful, and inclusive.โ€โ€Žโ€Ž President Boakai noted.

โ€Žโ€ŽIn his remarks, the Liberian Leader expressed gratitude to the Amadeus Institute and the Kingdom of Morocco, noting that the honor reflects not only personal recognition but the resilience and aspirations of the Liberian people and the African continent.โ€Žโ€Ž

The MEDays Forum, often referred to as the โ€œDavos of the Global South,โ€ convenes world leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss global fractures, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and pathways to shared prosperity.
