The president of the Liberia Football Association and a renowned telecommunications specialist Mustapha I. Raji is set to appear on the ballot paper for the third time at the Liberia Football Association in April 2026.

Since his tenure in 2018, Raji has transformed the landscape of Liberian football through a blend of strategic vision, infrastructure development, and expanded programs at all levels of the game.

Backed by FIFA, his administration has overseen the rehabilitation of multiple pitches nationwide, improving access to quality facilities and reigniting local passion for the sport.

One of Raji’s landmark achievements is the LFA’s transition from a rented office on Benson Street to its permanent headquarters, dedicated in 2022 — a modern symbol of institutional stability and progress.

Under his leadership, women’s football has flourished, with increased participation, new competitions, and broader visibility making it a vital pillar of Liberia’s football identity.

At the same time, grassroots programs, starting from the U-8 level, are systematically nurturing young talents and building a sustainable pathway for future national team players.

Raji’s bid for a third term will likely center on consolidating these gains, deepening youth development, and strengthening Liberia’s competitiveness on the continental stage.
