Marshall, Margibi -Former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has paid a visit to the Clar Hope Foundation and City of Hope Academy.
The female president was seen in a live video posted by former First Lady, Clar Marie Weah on her official social media page.
In the video, the former president was heard interacting with students who were asked different questions about things they were learning at the City of Hope Academy.
“You all passed,” she said to the students who exhibited their knowledge of studies. On her page, Madam Weah said, “Thank you Madam.”
She, on behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of the Clar Hope Foundation and City of Hope Academy, extended her heartfelt appreciation to the former President for ‘graciously ‘graciously’ visiting the City of Hope Academy in Marshall Margibi County.
She added by saying, “Your presence, humility and lifelong commitment to education, peace, and support for women and children continue to inspire Hope and purpose in our communities.”
The former First Lady indicated that madam Sirleaf’s visit brought smiles on the faces of these kids adding it is a moment they will forever remember.
Madam Weah is in Court with the Government of Liberia over the ownership of the property that she acquired during her tenure as First Lady of the Republic of Liberia.
The government of Liberia is recovering and retrieving assets which they said are in the possession of the wrong people.
But the visit of the former President might change the narrative for the former First Lady of Liberia.
In her post, Madam Weah said, “Thanks for standing with us and believing in the future of Liberia. May God continue to bless you.”
