— Lottery Boss Accused of Withholding Kickball Federation’s Fund

Report says, the National Lottery Authority has allegedly refused to release the final payment of over LD$911,000 owed to the Liberia Kickball Federation under a LD$2.7 million sponsorship agreement signed in February to support the 2025 season.
Sources say the newly appointed Director General Peter Solo has declined to honor the last installment, allegedly arguing that the agreement was not signed under his watch.
The first two payments accordingly, totaling LD$1.8 million, were issued under former Director General Reginald Nagbe, who initiated and executed the earlier phases of the sponsorship.
According to documents in this outlet possession, the deadline for the payment is scheduled for September 2025 as the final disbursement but newly assigned Director-General of Lottery Peter Solo has reportedly withheld the funds since taking office a few months ago.
Meanwhile, all efforts to get the side of the National Lottery Authority yet to materialize as calls and text messages has been ignored upon publishing of this article.
The first and second installment payments of LD$911,670 each was done on March 11, 2025 and May 2025 respectfully and was signed by former Director-General Reginald Kpan Nagbe and witnessed by current Director-General for Administration Ennish Lamie Fahnbulleh.
The sponsorship was widely praised as a boost for women and girls with the federation relying on the funding to run the league operations and expand training for referees of the sport.
