Nimba County Superintendent Kou Meapeh Gono has announced that road construction particularly farm-to-market and feeder roads will dominate the countyโs development agenda this year.โโ
Speaking Tuesday on the OK Morning Rush, Superintendent Gono said Nimba has the largest agricultural portfolio in Liberia, yet farmers continue to suffer losses due to poor road access to markets.โโ
She said the county will invest heavily in opening farm-to-market corridors, rehabilitating feeder roads, and constructing bridges to improve the movement of goods and people.โโ
According to her, the lack of access roads has undermined farmersโ productivity, a situation the county administration is determined to reverse.โ
Concerning the yellow machines being procured by the government, Superintendent Gono disclosed plans to establish two operational stations. โโ
One site will be located in Sekimpai, where land issues are nearly resolved, while negotiations continue for a second site in Saclepea.
