Buchanan -Residents of Nyuinwein Administrative District have expressed deep concern over years of neglect and unequal development within Grand Bassa County.
According to Ableejay TV, a statement from Omega Janjay Jimmy, poor roads, lack of health facilities and medicines, and inadequate schools continue to expose the district to preventable sickness and hardship.
According to him, the problem is made worse by limited representation of rural districts in county decision-making.
With most members of the County Council coming from Buchanan, they argue that development policies and resources often favor the city while rural areas are left behind.
One example cited is the use of county scrap funds, which residents say were largely spent in Buchanan and nearby communities, with little benefit reaching districts like Nyuinwein.
”The people of Nyuinwein say they are not asking for special treatment, but for fairness and inclusion. They are calling on county leaders to ensure equal representation and a fair share of development so all districts can benefit”. He said.
He stressed that Nyuinwein deserves good roads, healthcare, and quality education, just like every other part of Grand Bassa County.
Nyuinwien Administrative District is located in Electoral District #4, Grand Bassa and is represented by Rep. Alfred Hezekiah Flomo.
